Question: How To Draw Smiling Lips Without Teeth?

How to Draw Mouths

Draw a line from the bottom of the upper lip to the top of the lower lip; the shape of this line varies depending on the facial expression being made; for a resting facial expression, make a slight upward curve on each side with a dip in the middle.
Draw a series of 10 lines that span the lower lip. Lips have fine, vertical creases that become more pronounced as people age. Vary the length of each line and curve it slightly so the lines on the left half of the lips curve out to the left and right. Draw an outline of the mouth and shade it in different ways depending on the lighting.
To add creases to the lips, draw a series of curved lines across the length of each lip, then shade in the ends of the lips at the corners of the mouth, as well as the top and bottom of the lower lip. If you grip your pencil too tightly, it won’t turn out very well — if you mess up, you won’t be able to erase well.

Lips enable us to chew and swallow with our mouths closed; to grasp objects such as nails and clothes pegs; and to suckle at the breast; but, perhaps most importantly, they enable us to smile, bare our teeth, and kiss.
