How to Draw a Chevy Truck
The Chevrolet Task Force was one of the most famous pickup trucks of the mid-twentieth century, and we’ll show you how to draw one in the style of John Wayne’s famous Model T Ford Cabriolet in this drawing lesson.
The principles for drawing a car are the same as those for other design and engineering lessons – just slightly different.
We begin by sketching the vehicle’s front end, then outline the bumpers, grills, wheels, and mirrors.
To get a clear view of the interior of the car, carefully draw out the headlights and radiator grille between the headlights.
Carefully draw the roof and window lines, removing any unnecessary lines, and don’t forget to draw the rearview mirror and check the interior for any unnecessary lines or bumps.
Draw out the door, handle, and lower edge of the body of our pickup truck, then erase all unnecessary guidelines and accurately draw out the box of our Chevy truck.
We’re drawing a Chevy truck from the twentieth century, so the rims should be vintage. If you like it, please join us on social media and share this drawing lesson with your friends. For more information on how to draw a Chevrolet truck, click here.
What is considered a square body Chevy?
The Chevrolet and GMC C/K Square Body trucks were produced from 1973 to 1987 and feature a rounded windshield, door frames, and windows that contrast the box-body design. The Square Body trucks were one of Chevy’s longest-running generations.

Are Square bodies only Chevy?
(You can’t beat those circular tires; where can I get a set?) Joking aside, when people refer to a square-body truck, they’re referring to any Chevy or GMC pickup truck built between 1973 and 1987.
Is a 72 Chevy a Squarebody?
Where I come from, Round Bodies are 67-72, and Square Bodies are 73-87/91.
Why do they call it a box Chevy?
We’re guessing your first question is, “What the heck is a donk?” “Donk” is a nickname for a customized 1971-76 Chevrolet Caprice or Impala. Many people mistakenly use it to describe any custom car with big wheels, and some point to the Impala logo, which resembles a donkey.
