Brick Wall Pattern

Drawing a brick wall is just as important as understanding its basic structure, which is formed by stacking identical bricks in rows on top of each other. A good reference photo is always helpful when drawing a typical brick wall.

How to Draw a Brick Wall – Easy

The lines act as the mortar in your brick wall, filling in the space between each brick, and it works really well for backgrounds and filling in empty spaces in your artwork.

How to Draw a Wall with Mortar

Because most of my guidelines will be erased in the final drawing, I’ll be using a mechanical pencil in this example. There are many different ways to draw your bricks that will give your wall a slightly different look. Use an eraser to clean up your drawing and remove your guidelines.

Brick Wall Drawing with Template

This is the most time-consuming of all the ways to draw a brick wall from this lesson, but it may be necessary if you want your bricks to be perfectly uniform. Using a template is much easier than measuring everything out, in my opinion.
