How to draw a nose from the front – 7 easy steps
I’ll be using the following materials for this nose drawing tutorial: u2013 Mechanical Pencil with 0.5 mm HB lead by Ain u2013 Canson Bristol Paper u2013 Kneaded Rubber Eraser u2013 Blending Stump
Step 1: Start with a circle
To avoid damaging the paper with too many strokes, start by drawing a circle for the nose and lines for the eyes, ears, and mouth. Keep the strokes light so they can be erased in later steps.
Step 3: Shade around the nose bridge and tip
Don’t worry if the guidelines you created earlier didn’t blend in with your shading; we’ll darken the drawing later. Shade around the outer part of the nose in a circle, making a long “U” shape; you’ll notice the shading is thicker at the top of the bridge.
Step 4: Draw the nostrils
1. Draw the nostrils, 2. the brows, 3. the ears, 4. the eyes, 5. the eyelids, 6. the lips, 7. the cheeks, 8. the noses, 9. and the mouths, 10. using the diamond shape.
Step 6: Shape the nose
Make sure the lines show through or highlight any areas in the final image that you want to stand out.
Step 7: Blend your shading

How do you shade your nose?
Start at the bridge of your nose and apply a thin line of concealer down your nose with a small brush, stopping before you reach the tip, using a concealer that’s a shade or two brighter than your natural skin tone.
