FAQ: How To Draw A Seven Pointed Star?

How to Draw a Star (Multiple Points!)

This tutorial will show you how to make a five- or seven-pointed star using common household items such as a ruler, graphite pencil, and compasses, as well as a fun bonus of how to draw a five-pointed star in a casual manner.

What You Will Need

To complete this project, you’ll need the following items: a graphite pencil (I recommend using HB or H type, and make sure it’s sharp), a pair of compasses, a protractor, a ruler, and an ink pen (optional).

Step 1

I like to start by drawing a small circle with an arbitrary radius with a graphite pencil; it’s important to leave enough space around this circle in case you want to erase the subsidiary lines later.

Step 3

I like to draw a straight line upwards from the circumference’s center with a ruler.

Step 4

I create a 120u00b0 angle sector with a protractor, using the central point and the vertical line as measurement references. To draw a three-pointed star, we should create three equal sectors; 360 divided by 3 equals 120.

Step 5

The apexes of our star, where they meet the larger circumference, are referred to as the Solar System.

Step 6

I find the angles of 60u00b0 with the protractor and mark the segments with dashed lines, as well as the points of intersection where these lines cross the small circle. Now it’s time to divide each sector in half – how do you do that with a ruler?

Step 8

You can erase or leave all subsidiary pencil lines0u2014it’s entirely up to you. I use an ink pen to outline the contours of the star; this step isn’t required; it’s just useful to emphasize the main lines of the figure.

What is a 5 pointed star called?

A pentagram (also known as a pentalpha, pentangle, pentacle, or star pentagon) is a five-pointed star polygon that was used as a symbol in ancient Greece and Babylonia, and is still used as a symbol of faith by many Wiccans today, similar to how Christians use the cross.

What is a 8 pointed star called?

An octagram is an eight-sided star polygon in geometry. The name octagram combines the Greek numeral prefix octa- with the Greek suffix -gram, which comes from (gramm) meaning “line.”

Why do we draw stars with 5 points?

A star is a massive spherical ball of plasma, and all of the stars we can see (apart from our Sun) are so far away that they appear to us as perfect little dots. The reason we draw stars as pointy objects is that our eyes perceive them as such.

What does the eight pointed star mean in Islam?

When God created the heavens and the earth, according to Islamic tradition, He rose above His throne and inscribed on it, “My mercy supersedes My wrath,” which means God is more gentle, kind, and loving than anything else, and the 8-pointed star becomes a symbol of having hope in God’s mercy.

How do you make a real star?

On a basic level, building a star is simple: gather a star’s worth of gas and dust, let it collapse under its own weight, and a star will form given enough time.
