How To Draw A Drum Clipart That Rocks
If you can draw a few basic shapes, learning how to draw drum clipart is relatively simple; all you have to do is hit the various parts with two sticks. In this lesson, I’ll show you how to illustrate this fun musical instrument in six simple steps.
adding a few basic details
Since our goal is to draw a simple cartoon version of a drum set, no additional details are needed. These simple new shapes are added to all elements from this kit.
time to add colors on all parts of the drum set
For this drum set, I chose a saturated blue color for all drums and a bright yellow color for both cymbals, with gray stands. Don’t be afraid to mix bright and dark colors inside all parts to create contrast and make the drawing more appealing.
gradient colors to create more depth
If you’re using markers and a piece of paper, adding such an effect will take a little longer. Basically, all you have to do is add a second version of the same color (only darker) inside all shapes, with the darker color on the bottom and the brighter color on top.
a few basic shadows to create even more volume
To make it look more like this, add a few simple shapes to the base drum shape. All of these new shapes must be dark and partially transparent, with the exception of the large circle found inside the base, which is colored in white to create reflection, as shown in the image below.
