Removing the background from images – CorelDRAW Graphics Suite
In this tutorial, we’ll look at how to remove the background from images in CorelDRAW and Corel PHOTO-PAINT.
PowerClip in CorelDRAW
You can remove the background from an image by selecting it, going to Object > PowerClip, placing it inside the frame, and clicking on the outline you’ve drawn. From there, you can remove the outline and replace it with another image.
PowerTRACE in CorelDRAW
It can remove the background, either automatically or by selecting the color to eliminate, depending on the type of image, such as a high-contrast image (Line Art), a logo, clipart, and so on.
Corel PHOTO-PAINT is the image editor included in CorelDRAW Graphics Suite, and it’s the best option for removing the background from more complex images. The advantage of doing it this way is that your image will remain the same size in both programs. If the background is clearly separated from the object you want to crop, we can still use the above method.
Trace the edge of the area you want to separate with the Highlighter Tool. It’s critical that the selected area is a “closed” area, because the fill won’t apply correctly if there is an open area.
