Arrows can be created in Illustrator CS6 using the Stroke Panel, Symbols, Glyphs, or Brushes, or by searching for special arrow characters in a typeface. There are three default arrow libraries in Illustrator CS6. Open any of the libraries and select any arrow you want. Use the Paintbrush tool to paint your arrow onto your desired surface.
